In a move that strengthens Mexico’s position in international trade and global logistics, the Mexican Association of Freight Forwarders (Amacarga) was formally invited by the Ministry of Economy (SE) to join as an Honorary Member and strategic ally of ImpulsAA Mexico , an initiative developed jointly with the Confederation of Associations of Customs Agents of the Mexican Republic (CAAAREM) .

ImpulsAA Mexico is a high-level strategy aimed at strengthening the country’s competitiveness, professionalization, and economic development , placing public-private collaboration at the center of innovation, talent development, and consolidating Mexico as a competitive and reliable player in trade and logistics, both nationally and internationally.

It is worth recalling that the initiative, announced at the end of last November in conjunction with the General Directorate of Innovation, Services and Domestic Trade, proposes a work agenda based on regulatory improvement, operational efficiency and technological transformation , with the objective of consolidating a national logistics innovation network that boosts the economy and reinforces the strategic role of the customs agent under five pillars:

• Impulsa Capacita: Will create a national logistics training program for customs agents and the supply chain.
• Promotes Alliances: Will establish a national network between CAAAREM, the Ministry of Economy and allied organizations.
• Promotes Rules: Will implement a manual of good practices to increase competitiveness in all ports, crossings and premises where customs agents operate.
• Boosts Efficiency: Will develop technological and data analysis tools to optimize operations and provide greater certainty.
• Impulsa México: It will promote a sustainable and inclusive agenda that strengthens foreign trade from an integrity approach.

The invitation, issued directly by the SE, recognizes Amacarga’s track record, leadership, and institutional commitment to strengthening foreign trade, human capital development, and the creation of safer, more efficient, and more transparent supply chains.

This distinction positions Amacarga as a strategic actor in the construction of a new customs model aligned with the challenges of nearshoring (relocation of production lines) and the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). 

Eva María de los Dolores Muñoz Pineda, president of Amacarga, participated in the official ceremony, reaffirming the freight forwarders’ association’s commitment to modernizing the customs system and adopting best practices that boost the country’s competitiveness.

The initiative has a strong network of strategic allies such as the National Association of Importers and Exporters of the Mexican Republic (ANIERM) , the Mexican Association of Shipping Agents (Amanac) , the Federation of National Associations of Freight Forwarders and International Logistics Operators of Latin America and the Caribbean (Alacat) , the National Council of Executives in Logistics and Supply Chain (ConaLog) , the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism (Concanaco Servytur), the Mexican Business Council of Foreign Trade, Investment and Technology (Comce) , the National Chamber of the Transformation Industry (Canacintra)and the education sector among others, forming a collaborative ecosystem that seeks greater transparency, reduction of operating costs and a frontal fight against corruption in ports and borders.

With its integration into ImpulsAA Mexico, Amacarga reaffirms its leadership and commitment to the professionalization of the sector, security in supply chains and the strengthening of Mexican foreign trade, consolidating itself as a key reference in the country’s logistics transformation.
