With the goal of obtaining data that will help reduce crime rates in areas near the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) , the  National Association of Vehicle Tracking and Protection Companies (ANERPV) is seeking to sign an agreement with authorities of said infrastructure and of the surrounding states.

“The idea is to coordinate and sign an agreement, if authorized by the Ministry of National Defense (Defense), with AIFA to share intelligence. What does ANERPV have? It identifies incidents in the surrounding area, throughout the country. But we can identify incidents within the first perimeter, within the five, ten, or twenty-five kilometers (km) that surround AIFA and its two main roads, the Circuito Exterior Mexiquense and Mexico 85 and Mexico 85D,” said Luis Villatoro, president of ANERPV.

According to statistics shared by Villatoro, the State of Mexico accounts for approximately 25% to 30% of incidents nationwide , while the areas of Ecatepec, the Circuito Exterior Mexiquense, and Mexico 85 encompass around 60% of cases, which are related not only to cargo theft but also to vehicle theft.

In an interview, he stressed that they would be responsible for identifying the regions where these types of actions are occurring in order to find, in coordination with the National Guard , Defense and state authorities, the best intervention strategies.

He added that this coordination should also be carried out with the State of Mexico and Hidalgo , “to not only reduce the impact around the perimeter of the AIFA, but also those that may occur in neighboring states.”

Villatoro highlighted that AIFA has become an  important  logistics center at the Latin American and national level , “the merchandise that leaves there is incorporated into these two communication routes and they have not necessarily had incidents on these communication routes, the degree of risk itself is presented on those roads.”

“What we do is seek collaboration with the authorities and the best coordination, which is what would allow us to react as quickly as possible when we become aware of these events,” he asserted.

Similarly, he commented that they seek to extend this type of agreement with foreign trade participants, as well as with the Mexican Association of Intermodal Transport (AMTI) , the Mexican Association of Freight Forwarders (Amacarga)  or the National Association of Importers and Exporters of the Mexican Republic (ANIERM) , “in order to establish these links in each of the stages, from the point of view that security is transversal.”

Aleatica takes another step in its commitment to smart, safe, and sustainable mobility by launching contactless payment on the Circuito Exterior Mexiquense (CEM), one of its most important roads in the State of Mexico.

According to the company’s statement, this innovative solution optimizes traffic flow and provides a more efficient service.

With more than 310,000 crossings daily, the CEM is positioned as the first highway in the country to offer this convenient and secure cashless payment method. Users will be able to pay their tolls using contactless- enabled bank cards and mobile devices in 25 lanes across three toll plazas: Jorobas, Tultepec, and Las Américas.

 Aleatica also announced that in the coming months, this technology will gradually expand to other toll booths in the CEM with the goal of reducing wait times and significantly improving the user experience by reducing congestion at the toll booths.

The new payment method

The system will allow people to pay their tolls instantly using mobile devices (cell phones and smart watches with a digital wallet) and contactless bank cards, including those on the Visa, MasterCard, and American Express electronic payment networks .

Additionally, traditional payment methods such as TAG and cash will remain available to ensure all forms of payment are available to people using the road.

To use this new technology, simply hold your card close to the terminal reader to complete the transaction in less than 10 seconds.

With this initiative, the company consolidates its leadership in the adoption of safer, more sustainable mobility technologies aligned with global best practices for service excellence.
