<p><span dir="auto">Mexico once again became the United States&#8217; main trading partner in August 2026, with </span><strong><span dir="auto">an exchange of goods worth 94,293.7 million dollars (USD)</span></strong><span dir="auto"> , a growth of 26.7% compared to the eighth month of 2025, according to figures from the </span><a href="https://www.census.gov/"><span dir="auto">United States Census Bureau</span></a><span dir="auto"> .</span></p>
<p><span dir="auto">Meanwhile, trade between the United States and Canada increased by 17.5%, reaching $66.2696 billion. China saw a 6.6% year-on-year increase, with total trade reaching $35.8645 billion, according to an analysis by </span><strong><span dir="auto">T21 Business Intelligence</span></strong><span dir="auto"> .</span></p>

<p><span dir="auto">In the cumulative period from January to August 2016,  </span><strong><span dir="auto">Mexico again performed well in its trade of goods with the United States, totaling $682,817.5 million</span></strong><span dir="auto"> . Canada&#8217;s trade reached $505,617.9 million and China&#8217;s $257,427.2 million in the first eight months of the year.</span></p>
<p><span dir="auto">According to US records, </span><strong><span dir="auto">Mexican exports to the United States totaled $60,637.4 million in August</span></strong><span dir="auto"> , a 34.1% increase compared to the same month in 2025.</span></p>
<blockquote><p><span dir="auto">Among the main products that Mexico sent to the United States are computers, televisions, vehicles, auto parts, electrical equipment, machinery and other high-quality manufactured products.</span></p></blockquote>
<p><span dir="auto">Canada exported goods to the United States worth $35.98 billion, a 23.4% year-over-year increase. China shipped goods to the United States worth $27.1338 billion, representing a 6.9% increase compared to August 2015.</span></p>

<p><span dir="auto">Meanwhile, </span><strong><span dir="auto">Mexico purchased US goods worth $33.6563 billion </span></strong><span dir="auto"> in August 2026, a 15.3% year-over-year increase. Canada&#8217;s imports totaled $30.2896 billion, an 11.2% rise compared to August of the previous year. During the same period, China imported US goods worth $8.7307 billion, 5.6% more than in August 2025.</span></p>

<p><span dir="auto">The results of the exchange of goods between Mexico and the United States show that, despite the uncertainty generated by the unilateral decisions of the northern neighbor, </span><strong><span dir="auto">trade between both countries continues to strengthen</span></strong><span dir="auto"> , particularly in sectors that depend on cross-border supply chains and the constant movement of goods.</span></p>
<p><span dir="auto">The performance also reflects Mexico&#8217;s importance as a supplier of goods to the U.S. market, consolidating the bilateral relationship in the North American economic environment, although the review of the </span><strong><span dir="auto">United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA)</span></strong><span dir="auto"> is still pending and has not yet been postponed indefinitely.</span></p>
