This new online space is designed to simplify the application process for prospective seafarers , promote maritime professions, and attract, recruit, and retain top talent, such as officers, engineers, ratings, catering staff , and cadets, the company said in a statement.

“It brings together all of the group’s agencies, subsidiaries, and partners involved in the recruitment and management of the 13,000 crew members serving onboard CMA CGM-owned vessels,” he said.

The launch of CMASHIPS.com is part of CMA CGM’s strategy to increase its appeal to seafarers around the world, amid fleet expansion and the transformation of maritime transport.

In collaboration with leading maritime academies in France and around the world, CMA SHIPS trains new generations of seafarers each year , aligned with the highest standards of safety, performance, and responsibility. CMA SHIPS also oversees the design, technical operation, and management of the group’s 350 vessels .

According to the website, CMASHIPS.com promotes gender diversity through its “She Sails” program, which encourages and supports women’s careers in maritime professions.

According to consulting firm Mordor Intelligence , the shipping market is expected to reach $398 trillion by 2024, with more than one millionseafarers crewing merchant vessels.
