<p><strong><span dir="auto">Between 2022 and 2025, </span></strong><strong><span dir="auto">6,844 vehicles stolen on the highways were recovered</span></strong><span dir="auto"> , including tractor-trailers, trailers, private vehicles and others, reported the </span><a href="https://www.anerpv.mx/"><span dir="auto">National Association of Vehicle Tracking and Protection Companies (ANERPV)</span></a><span dir="auto"> .</span></p>
<p><span dir="auto">Luis Villatoro, president of the organization, detailed that the value of the recovered vehicles reaches </span><strong><span dir="auto">four billion 265 million pesos (mdp), not including the value of the cargo</span></strong><span dir="auto"> .</span></p>
<p><span dir="auto">In presenting a summary of the work carried out by the 77 companies affiliated with ANERPV at the close of 2025, he explained that in addition to the recovery of vehicles, the legal actions undertaken in collaboration with the authorities of the three levels of government </span><strong><span dir="auto">allowed the arrest of 713 people involved in illicit activities</span></strong><span dir="auto"> and the securing of 286 properties used for unloading stolen goods and units.</span></p>
<p><span dir="auto">He explained that statistics from the private group show that in December of last year, </span><strong><span dir="auto">22% of vehicle thefts were concentrated in the State of Mexico</span></strong><span dir="auto"> , 10% in Jalisco, another 10% in Puebla, 7% in Guanajuato, and 6% in Sinaloa, making them the states with the highest incidence. The remaining 45% were distributed among the other states in the country, and it was observed that truck theft is shifting toward urban areas.</span></p>
<p><span dir="auto">Regarding the times of highest activity for robberies, Villatoro revealed that </span><strong><span dir="auto">in the last month of 2025, 27% of the robberies occurred between 7:00 p.m. and midnight</span></strong><span dir="auto"> , 26% between midnight and 7:00 a.m., another 26% in the afternoon between noon and 7:00 p.m., and in the mornings, from 7:00 a.m. to noon, the number of robberies decreased slightly to 21%.</span></p>
<p><span dir="auto">Of the entities with the highest number of cases nationwide, in the State of Mexico the municipalities that registered the most robberies in December were </span><strong><span dir="auto">Cuautitlán Izcalli, Ecatepec de Morelos, Tecámac, Tepotzotlán, Toluca and Naucalpan</span></strong><span dir="auto"> .</span></p>
<p><span dir="auto">In </span><strong><span dir="auto">Jalisco, the most affected areas were Guadalajara</span></strong><span dir="auto"> , San Pedro Tlaquepaque, Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, Zapopan, and Tonalá. In Puebla, robberies were concentrated in San Martín Texmelucan, the city of Puebla, Esperanza, Tepeaca, and Tecamachalco.</span></p>
<p><span dir="auto">In Guanajuato, during December, the highest number of vehicle thefts were reported in </span><strong><span dir="auto">Celaya, Apaseo el Grande</span></strong><span dir="auto"> , Irapuato, and San Luis de la Paz. Meanwhile, in Sinaloa, the highest incidence of thefts was concentrated in Mazatlán, Culiacán, and Escuinapa.</span></p>
<p><span dir="auto">ANERPV, through its 77 affiliated companies, provides coverage of over two and a half million vehicle monitoring and protection devices distributed throughout the country. Furthermore, the recovery of vehicles was achieved following weekly working meetings and close collaboration with federal and state authorities.</span></p>
