<p data-start="507" data-end="910"><strong><span dir="auto">The heavy vehicle</span></strong><span dir="auto"> market in Mexico showed signs of recovery during June 2026, particularly in wholesale sales, where the cargo segment drove significant growth compared to the same month last year. However, the retail </span><strong><span dir="auto">market</span></strong><span dir="auto"> continues to reflect the adjustment process the industry is undergoing, with accumulated declines in both cargo and passenger sales.</span></p>
<p data-start="912" data-end="1267"><span dir="auto">According to the most recent statistical bulletin of the </span><a href="https://www.anpact.com.mx/"><span dir="auto">National Association of Bus, Truck and Tractor-Trailer Producers (ANPACT)</span></a><span dir="auto"> , wholesale sales reached </span><strong data-start="1087" data-end="1112"><span dir="auto">3,272 units</span></strong><span dir="auto"> in June 2026, an increase of </span><strong data-start="1148" data-end="1157"><span dir="auto">46.9%</span></strong><span dir="auto"> compared to the </span><strong data-start="1173" data-end="1188"><span dir="auto">2,228</span></strong><span dir="auto"> sold in the same month of 2025.</span></p>
<p data-start="1269" data-end="1469"><span dir="auto">In cumulative figures from </span><strong><span dir="auto">January to June</span></strong><span dir="auto"> , </span><strong><span dir="auto">wholesale sales </span></strong><strong><span dir="auto">totaled 14,747 vehicles</span></strong><span dir="auto"> , a growth of </span><strong data-start="1381" data-end="1389"><span dir="auto">3.4%</span></strong><span dir="auto"> compared to the same period of the previous year.</span></p>
<p data-start="1471" data-end="1890"><span dir="auto">The cargo segment was once again the main driver of the monthly results. During June, it sold </span><strong data-start="1570" data-end="1594"><span dir="auto">2,763 units</span></strong><span dir="auto"> wholesale, a year-over-year increase of </span><strong data-start="1630" data-end="1639"><span dir="auto">42.7 percent</span></strong><span dir="auto"> . Within this segment , </span><strong data-start="1693" data-end="1724"><span dir="auto">fifth-wheel tractors stood out with a </span></strong><strong data-start="1748" data-end="1757"><span dir="auto">74.7 percent</span></strong><span dir="auto"> increase in sales , followed by </span><strong data-start="1774" data-end="1785"><span dir="auto">Class 4</span></strong><span dir="auto"> trucks  , which advanced </span><strong data-start="1798" data-end="1807"><span dir="auto">56.1 percent</span></strong><span dir="auto"> , and </span><strong data-start="1814" data-end="1825"><span dir="auto">Class 8 trucks</span></strong><span dir="auto"> , which increased </span><strong data-start="1842" data-end="1851"><span dir="auto">39.0 percent</span></strong><span dir="auto"> .</span></p>
<p data-start="1892" data-end="2362"><span dir="auto">Year-to-date, the wholesale market maintained positive performance, although pressures persist in some key categories. </span><strong data-start="2035" data-end="2066"><span dir="auto">Fifth-wheel tractor-trailers saw a </span></strong><strong data-start="2095" data-end="2104"><span dir="auto">17.0%</span></strong><span dir="auto"> decrease between January and June, falling from </span><strong data-start="2138" data-end="2154"><span dir="auto">6,960</span></strong><span dir="auto"> units in 2025 to </span><strong data-start="2174" data-end="2191"><span dir="auto">5,776</span></strong><span dir="auto"> in 2026. </span><strong data-start="2205" data-end="2227"><span dir="auto">Intercity buses</span></strong><span dir="auto"> also continued their downward trend, registering a </span><strong data-start="2294" data-end="2303"><span dir="auto">30.7%</span></strong><span dir="auto"> drop during the same period.</span></p>

<h4 data-start="1892" data-end="2362"><strong><span dir="auto">Retail continues to lag behind</span></strong></h4>
<p data-start="2364" data-end="2690"><strong data-start="236" data-end="694"><span dir="auto">In the retail sector</span></strong><span dir="auto"> , the performance was more moderate. During June 2026, 3,184 units were sold, a 3.8% increase compared to the same month in 2025. However, the cumulative total from January to June showed a 22.2% decrease, with 15,794 units sold.</span></p>
<p data-start="2364" data-end="2690"><span dir="auto">Of that total, </span><strong><span dir="auto">the cargo segment accounted for</span></strong><span dir="auto"> 13,626 units in January-June, a drop of 19.9%, while passenger vehicles totaled 2,168 units, with a decrease of 34.1% in the same period.</span></p>

<p data-start="2692" data-end="3107"><strong data-start="2737" data-end="2746"><span dir="auto">Within the retail market, the cargo</span></strong><span dir="auto"> segment registered a </span><strong data-start="2774" data-end="2783"><span dir="auto">15.3%</span></strong><span dir="auto"> growth last June, driven primarily by </span><strong data-start="2826" data-end="2837"><span dir="auto">Class 4 trucks</span></strong><span dir="auto">  with a </span><strong data-start="2857" data-end="2866"><span dir="auto">53.4%</span></strong><span dir="auto"> ​​increase , and </span><strong data-start="2873" data-end="2884"><span dir="auto">Class 8</span></strong><span dir="auto"> trucks  , which advanced </span><strong data-start="2897" data-end="2906"><span dir="auto">24.4%</span></strong><span dir="auto"> . However, </span><strong data-start="2925" data-end="2956"><span dir="auto">fifth-wheel tractors</span></strong><span dir="auto"> , despite a monthly growth of </span><strong data-start="2989" data-end="2998"><span dir="auto">10.2%</span></strong><span dir="auto"> , maintain a cumulative decline of </span><strong data-start="3033" data-end="3042"><span dir="auto">33.8%</span></strong><span dir="auto"> in the January-June period.</span></p>
<p data-start="3109" data-end="3574"><strong data-start="3138" data-end="3148"><span dir="auto">In contrast, the passenger</span></strong><span dir="auto"> segment continues to show weak performance in retail. During June, it registered a decrease of </span><strong data-start="3241" data-end="3250"><span dir="auto">39.1%</span></strong><span dir="auto"> , mainly affected by drops of </span><strong data-start="3294" data-end="3303"><span dir="auto">48.9%</span></strong><span dir="auto"> in </span><strong data-start="3310" data-end="3321"><span dir="auto">Class 7</span></strong><span dir="auto"> , </span><strong data-start="3326" data-end="3335"><span dir="auto">61.9%</span></strong><span dir="auto"> in </span><strong data-start="3342" data-end="3353"><span dir="auto">Class 8</span></strong><span dir="auto"> , and </span><strong data-start="3359" data-end="3368"><span dir="auto">10.4%</span></strong><span dir="auto"> in </span><strong data-start="3376" data-end="3398"><span dir="auto">intercity buses</span></strong><span dir="auto"> . Year-to-date, passenger sales have fallen </span><strong data-start="3457" data-end="3466"><span dir="auto">34.1%</span></strong><span dir="auto"> , while intercity bus sales remain down </span><strong data-start="3526" data-end="3535"><span dir="auto">31.0%</span></strong><span dir="auto"> .</span></p>
<p data-start="3576" data-end="3921" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node=""><span dir="auto">Although June allowed the wholesale market to return to positive territory, the performance of the retail market confirms that the recovery remains uneven across segments and that long-haul tractors and passenger transport continue to face the greatest pressures so far this year.</span></p>
