Amid a favorable context for industrial investment in Mexico driven by nearshoring , FINSA announced changes in its leadership structure with the appointment of Rocío Palafox as its new CEO, a position she will assume on June 1st.

The decision is part of a planned institutional transition within the company , aimed at strengthening its corporate governance model and continuing its growth strategy in the industrial real estate sector, according to a statement.

As part of this restructuring, Sergio Argüelles will continue to be involved in the firm’s leadership as executive chairman and chairman of the board, where he will focus his participation on the long-term strategic vision, institutional relations and the evolution of the business model.

FINSA highlighted that this change comes at a key moment for Mexico, in which the relocation of production chains has increased the country’s attractiveness as a destination for new manufacturing and logistics investments.

In his new role, Palafox will oversee the company’s various business lines, including development, property management, industrial park operations, strategic infrastructure, and fund management. The firm stated that his leadership will focus on strengthening financial discipline, operational efficiency, and the integration of sustainability criteria .

For her part, Rocío Palafox stated that she is assuming the general management at a relevant moment for the Mexican industrial sector and with the objective of strengthening the company’s execution capacity, maintaining a disciplined and sustainable financial approach.

Palafox has over three decades of experience in financial leadership and has held positions at organizations such as IDB Invest, as well as GE and GE Capital. At FINSA, he has been involved in relationships with financial institutions and investors, and in capital raising processes.

With this move, FINSA seeks to consolidate its position as a developer and operator of industrial infrastructure in Mexico, in a segment marked by a growing demand for spaces linked to foreign trade, manufacturing and supply chains .
