The committee not only responds to regulatory requirements, but also represents a shared culture within the organization, where each area—operations, quality, training, and human resources—  actively participates in the design of strategies that promote road safety .

“Road safety isn’t an isolated project; it’s part of our identity as a company. Through this committee, we confirm that each area of ​​STI is united by a common purpose: ensuring our operators always arrive safely at their destination,” said Ángel Hernández Gaytán, general director of STI México.

Each committee session addresses topics such as operating conditions, road risk factors, identification of critical routes, review of performance indicators, medical evaluations, and regulatory compliance.

This analysis allows decisions to be translated into actions, such as specialized training, route and schedule adjustments, periodic audits, preventative maintenance, and awareness campaigns, reinforcing  STI Mexico’s commitment to its goal of zero accidents .

Strengthening these areas is especially relevant given the national situation. According to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) , 374,949 traffic accidents were recorded in Mexico in 2024 , resulting in 4,656 deaths and 85,980 injuries.

These data underscore the urgency of adopting measures like those of STI Mexico, where road safety is a shared responsibility.
