With almost 30 years in the market, Camionera del Centro (Cacesa)  has evolved to become a key pillar within the International distributor network in Mexico, according to Martín Amarante, its general and commercial director.

Since its founding in 1997, the company has faced changes in the industry , economic challenges and increasing competition , but has been able to adapt with vision and determination , as Amarante explained in an interview with T21.

Now, in a new chapter of its history, it implemented a business model that came into operation towards the end of 2024. This initiative, designed under International’s most recent standards , seeks to revolutionize the carrier experience, streamlining service and maintenance processes .

With a focus on reducing wait times and providing more efficient service, the agency in Aguascalientes was the first to integrate this business model into the International network at the corporate level.

For Cacesa, modernization is a necessity in a sector where efficiency defines profitability , as Amarante pointed out.

In addition, in order to continue its evolution and growth, the company is making significant investments to improve its infrastructure, consolidate its operational capacity and guarantee its clients specialized services.

This plan, which responds to the transformation of the transport industry, seeks to position Cacesa as an ally for companies that depend on their fleets.

“What we are looking for is to homogenize the end customer service experience anywhere in the country,” Amarante said.

Amarante stressed the need to offer consistent, quality service to carriers regardless of their location.

One of the pillars of this transformation is the strengthening of the spare parts inventory . With an investment of more than 80 million pesos , Cacesa consolidated its stock in different locations to ensure the availability of critical parts.

This strategy reduces vehicle downtime , optimizes the supply chain and reinforces the company’s commitment to the operational efficiency of its customers.

Despite the challenging outlook, the company has not lost sight of the challenges ahead. Economic uncertainty, the lack of specialized technicians and the high competitiveness of the sector represent obstacles that require agile and strategic solutions.

In particular, the shortage of technical talent, which prompted Cacesa to strengthen its staff training and retention programs .

 “Nowadays, when we live in such an interconnected and fast-paced world, we need to be resolute, with a sense of urgency to make things happen,” Amarante emphasized.
