<p>North American cross-border freight <strong>increased just 0.3% in October 2024</strong> compared to the same month in 2023, the <a href="https://www.bts.gov/">Bureau of Transportation Statistics</a>  (BTS) reported.</p>
<p>This is due to the fact that <strong>trade had a value of 138.9 billion dollars compared to 138.5 million dollars year-on-year. Of the total for the tenth month of 2024,</strong>  74.6 billion dollars were between Mexico and the United States, 2.5% more than in the previous period.</p>

<p>Of the total cargo, <strong>road transport moved the largest share,</strong> with $88.4 billion in the value of goods, 0.1% more than in October 2023, while <strong>railroads transported</strong> $16 billion, <strong>12% less year-on-year.</strong></p>
<p>Meanwhile <strong>, ships moved $9.6 billion worth of cargo,</strong> 13.6% less, and airlines transported $4.7 billion worth of cargo, 3.3% less year-over-year.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, between Mexico and the United States, <strong>road transport ended the month with 55.3 billion dollars</strong> and 8.4 billion dollars by rail.</p>
<p>The BTS stated that <strong>Laredo, El Paso and Otay Mesa are the main truck border crossings with Mexico</strong> , registering 25.3 billion dollars, 7.8 billion dollars and 6 million dollars, respectively.</p>
<p>While <strong>Laredo, Eagle Pass and El Paso are for the rail connection</strong> , leaving these results:</p>
