In the current context of nearshoring and Mexico’s growing integration into global supply chains , a new era is dawning for the country’s transportation sector, which represents not only an opportunity for economic development, but also a challenge.
In order to position Mexican transport companies in the international market and take advantage of the opportunities offered by foreign direct investment, Tiastica , Grupo Ezencial , GM Transport , Alibaba and T21 have joined forces in an unprecedented alliance.
The main objective of this collaboration is to promote the digital transformation of the sector by investing in advanced data science and analytics tools, which will allow the creation of a benchmark at a national level, offering each company a detailed diagnosis of its level of digital maturity and pointing out the areas of opportunity in strategic, operational, commercial, financial and fiscal aspects.
Adimir Benítez, director of Strategic Solutions at Tiastica, explained that when trying to gather valuable information, it is always very dispersed, even though large chambers have a lot of data statistics.
“It is a very difficult task, the information is very fragmented and the risk is that global chains are already here. We want to form an alliance that allows us to collect data to provide the transport sector with the ability to implement an effective digital transformation and prepare to compete against large conglomerates,” he said.
For his part, Gustavo Vargas, founding partner and CEO of Grupo Ezencial, emphasized the importance of working together on this project, since through interviews they have conducted, they found that the fundamental factor that large companies will require in the short and medium term is technology, from ERP systems and traceability to the ability to generate data in real time.
“We are facing an economic environment that could be very favourable, but to take advantage of it we need to work as a team. If we do not support and integrate each other, other foreign players will position themselves to take advantage of these opportunities,” he said.
Therefore, the first step is to register for the initiative , in which they will be sent an invitation to interact with a robot, through which they will be able to exchange information confidentially.
On March 24, a digital demo of a transport company will be presented, showing how to boost its growth and economic acceleration.
Analytical dashboard options can be displayed to make the company more profitable, ensure business continuity and provide a risk map.
In addition, a benchmark will be built that, through interaction with a robot, will allow the business’ maturity to be assessed in terms of strategy, sales, supply chain, financial and tax management, among other aspects.
This initiative not only seeks to modernize the sector, but also to prepare transport companies to compete in a global market that increasingly demands more technology and efficiency.
By participating, entrepreneurs will be able to identify their strengths, recognize their areas for improvement and chart a clear path toward digital transformation.
The invitation is open to all stakeholders in the transportation sector in Mexico and registration will allow access to exclusive information, activities and key dates to be part of this ambitious project.
