Soriana and FAZT inaugurated two new ultra-fast charging stations in Nuevo León, as the two companies continue to strengthen their partnership and advance the construction of an ecosystem that promotes the use of cleaner and more sustainable technologies .
“At Soriana, we are convinced that sustainability and innovation are key to transforming the way we move around. Therefore, we continue to expand our infrastructure to offer our clients alternatives that benefit both their lifestyle and the environment,” said Gerardo Díaz Canales, Director of Real Estate Development at Organización Soriana.
With these additions, the two companies reinforce their commitment to facilitating access to efficient charging solutions at strategic locations , with the goal of consolidating the most robust network to boost electric mobility in Mexico. The goal is to install 1,000 charging points across the country by 2030 .
In addition to the stations in Nuevo León, Soriana’s ultra-fast charging network already has other locations in Morelos, the State of Mexico, and Coahuila, bringing the total to nine stations nationwide. These facilities have registered more than 24,000 charges, more than 1,400 users, and have contributed to avoiding the emission of 68,200 kilograms of carbon dioxide (CO₂).
According to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) , from January to August 2025, 393,406 light vehicles were sold in Mexico, of which 19,852 were electric and plug-in hybrids.
These figures show that electromobility continues to gain ground and that expanding the charging network is essential to sustaining its growth.
“As the adoption of electric and hybrid vehicles accelerates in Mexico, Soriana seeks not only to support this trend, but also to drive a future of cleaner, more accessible, and sustainable mobility for Mexican families,” the commercial sector company emphasized.
According to the Electro Mobility Association (EMA) portal , there are 39,708 residential charging stations and 3,665 public charging stations in Mexico , which shows the growth of this type of infrastructure in the country.
