Mexican logistics technology company SkydropX announced the acquisition of Frenet , one of the leading aggregators of parcel delivery services in Brazil, a strategic move that, in turn, makes it the largest integrator of courier and parcel delivery solutions in Latin America, reaching more than 100,000 customers in the region.
In this regard, Paulina Canizales, New Ventures Manager of Skydropx, explained that the decision to acquire Frenet responds to the strategy of consolidating its leadership in key markets in Latin America .
“We analyzed that 90% of our target market is concentrated between Mexico, Brazil and Colombia. We already operate in Mexico and Colombia, but we knew that Brazil, being a complex market, required a different strategy, ideally through the acquisition of an already established player,” said Canizales.
Frenet provides a solid platform aimed at large clients with advanced needs, complementing Skydropx’s experience in the small and medium-sized business segment .
According to Daniel Alvarado, Chief Customer Officer and co-founder of Skydropx, the combination of forces will allow us to offer comprehensive solutions for e-commerce sellers , from those who make a single monthly shipment to companies that handle thousands of orders daily.
“Our goal is to cover the entire spectrum of customers and provide tools that allow them to not worry about logistics,” said Alvarado.
In addition, the acquisition will facilitate access to improved service levelsand discounts for customers, while expanding business relationships with strategic partners in the region.
For Alvarado and Canizales, this strengthening of their presence allows Skydropx to position itself as a leader in guide intermediation and as a key player in the development of logistics services in Latin America.
Regarding sustainability, Daniel Alvarado highlighted plans to integrate more efficient and sustainable means of transport into its operations.
“We want to contribute with a positive impact on both the environment and the economy of entrepreneurs, by offering more responsible logistics solutions,” he said.
With this acquisition, Skydropx also seeks future expansion in key marketssuch as Argentina and the development of international shipping services between Mexico and the United States. The company’s vision for 2025 is to consolidate itself as a benchmark in comprehensive logistics solutions for e-commerce throughout the region.
