The second part of the presidential cabinet of Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, virtual elected candidate, was presented this Thursday, which highlights the appointment of the head of the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) , a federal agency directly related to the field of logistics. and transportation in Mexico.
This second group is made up of the following:
- Jesús Esteva Medina, secretary of the SICT.
- Luz Elena González Escobar, Secretary of Energy.
- David Kershenobich, Secretary of Health.
- Raquel Buenrostro, Secretary of the Public Service.
- Edna Eleva Vega, Secretary of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development.
- Rogelio Ramírez de la O, Secretary of the Treasury.
Jesús Esteva Medina is a civil engineer with a Master’s Degree in Structures from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) .
His professional career began in public service as Technical Advisor to the General Directorate of Public Works of the Department of the Federal District and director of Infrastructure Works.
Among his tasks were the construction of vehicular bridges, primary roads, establishment of the first pavement management system, construction of the first continuous flow intersections and the first permeable secondary road.
He was director of Planning and Evaluation of Works in the General Directorate of Works and Conservation at UNAM. Likewise, he participated in the development of the National Laboratory for Sustainability Sciences Project.
He has participated in the Board of Directors of the Society of Alumni of the UNAM Faculty of Engineering , also as a member of the Board of Directors of the Mexican Association of Land Road Engineering and a member of the Board of Directors of the Mexican Society of Seismic Engineering.
Likewise, he highlights that he has also developed as an entrepreneur in the fields of construction, coordination and construction supervision. He has ventured into the area of Biomedical Engineering, focused on the prevention of hypothermia. He has taught undergraduate and graduate classes at the UNAM Faculty of Engineering and various courses and conferences on topics related to Civil Engineering.
These appointments join those made by Sheinbaum on June 20 , with Marcelo Ebrard in the Ministry of Economy; Juan Ramón de la Fuente at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Rosaura Ruiz in the Secretariat of Sciences, Humanities, Technology and Innovation; Alicia Bárcena at the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources; Julio Berdegué Sacristán in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; and Ernestina Godoy Ramos, who will serve as legal advisor to the presidency.
