
With the aim of strengthening its presence in the country, Scania Finance announced the appointment of Rodrigo Clemente as its new director in Mexico, with which the brand also seeks to provide more comprehensive support to its customers.
“I am excited to join Scania in Mexico and take on this challenge at a key moment. My priority is to strengthen a more accessible and agile financial operation, with integrated solutions that respond to the real business needs of carriers and that support the customer from acquisition to the daily operation of their units,” highlighted Rodrigo Clemente.
The appointment marks a new stage for the brand’s financial operations, focused on deepening the relationship with fleet owners and transporters through a value proposition that integrates financing, insurance and service solutions throughout the life cycle of their vehicles, Scania explained in a statement.
Rodrigo Clemente has a solid track record within the Scania Group. He began his career in the commercial area of Scania Brazil, was director of one of the company’s dealerships, and, since 2017, has led Scania Consorcio, part of the Scania Brazil Financial Services portfolio.
During his tenure at the head of Scania Consorcio, Clemente was responsible for its strategic repositioning , promoting the New Business Model based on offers segmented by customer profile.
“This approach allowed us to increase sales volume, reduce cancellations and consolidate the profitability of the business, positioning the company as one of the strongest and most profitable in the group,” the Swedish company highlighted.
Rodrigo Clemente is a production engineer, has a postgraduate degree in marketing and training in leadership, strategic management, financial market and development of high-performance teams.
Scania expands administrative facilities
As part of strengthening the brand’s operations in the country, Scania Mexico also announced the expansion of its administrative facilities, in order to consolidate teams and processes for closer, more agile and specialized attention to the transport sector.
“With this new leadership and the strengthening of capabilities in Mexico, Scania Finance is consolidating itself as another arm of the brand’s solutions portfolio, contributing to a comprehensive offering aimed at generating value for the customer and leading the change towards a sustainable transport system,” the company stated.
Scania operates in more than 100 countries and has over 50,000 employees. The company has had a presence in Mexico since 1994 and employs more than 1,000 people, as well as operating a fully owned network of 17 branches throughout the country.
