The Lázaro Cárdenas Port will receive Hapag-Lloyd ‘s EC2 service , with unloading operations of import containers from Asian ports at the APM Terminals container terminal.
“The port is the only one in the Mexican Pacific that will receive the ships of this service, which has a weekly frequency and calls at five Asian ports in northern and central China and Korea, before arriving at Lázaro Cárdenas and ending in North America,” he said. a communication from Lázaro Cárdenas Port Community.
He explained that this service is made up of 12 vessels with a capacity of 13,470 20-foot containers (TEU), 366 meters in length and 141,077 GRT. All are operated by Hapag-Lloyd.
The port of Lázaro Cárdenas recalled that in recent days, the first vessel of this service, the MV UMM SALAL , arrived at the APM Terminals container terminal with import cargo.
Furthermore, he explained that with this new integration, Hapag-Lloyd ratifies its trust and commitment to the movement of containerized cargo through this infrastructure and its specialized terminals.
