Originally from Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo León, Dante Perrone grew up immersed in the world of trucking due to a family business, however, at an early age he saw the opportunity to catapult cargo trucking services due to the connectivity that his place of origin represents for the north of the country, since it is an intermediate city between Monterrey and Nuevo Laredo, and that connects with the most important border of the United States, thus Perrone Trucks was born .
“We saw the opportunity to serve the movement of goods to our northern neighbor, and today we have a good relationship with clients who import and export to and from Laredo,” explained Dante Perrone, general manager of Perrone Trucks and member of the 9th generation of T21’s Los 21 Jóvenes, in an interview with T21.
With seven years of operations, Perrone Trucks has boosted its growth in recent years, achieving a 280% increase in its fleet , which currently totals 30 units with dry vans that carry out both imports and exports, as well as domestic door-to-door movements at airports and seaports.
Among Dante Perrone’s future projects is consolidating the acquisition of more units in the coming months. This is in response to the dynamism that is being experienced due to the relocation of manufacturing companies in the country ( nearshoring ). “The growth in our fleet not only reflects our expansion but also our ability to respond to the demands of the industries we serve,” he said.
Along with the increase in the fleet, the issue of optimizing the units and reducing operating costs also attracts the attention of Dante Perrone, “this ensures that the units are loaded for as long as possible, which maximizes profits and therefore optimizes costs. 85% of our units move cargo all the time, this is thanks to an effective logistics network and committed customers,” said the general manager of Perrone Trucks.
During his management, Perrone has also been concerned about the well-being and retention of operators, based on various strategies, which has resulted in staff turnover of less than 3% per month .
Throughout his career, Dante Perrone has accelerated the prospecting of new clients as well as growing accounts with his current clients, all based on good service and the satisfaction of his business partners.
“We are embarking on a number of initiatives that will ensure that the company significantly expands its impact in the sector and at the same time will help strengthen more companies to continue their development,” said the businessman.
One of the initiatives will be the creation of a financial institution that will help empower transporters through loans and financing with competitive rates. “This initiative responds to a critical need in the market for positive financial solutions, because a person who starts out with a unit has a difficult time obtaining financing,” he said.
This project is complemented by the creation of a school for transporters in Nuevo León that will be a reference for the training of new transporters, micro and small businesses (SMEs) that want to venture into logistics and cargo transportation. “We want to act as a coach for new companies, to improve the quality of work in the industry, which will be positive for the country,” said Dante Perrone.
