Ocean Network Express (ONE), the sixth-largest container carrier in the world, announced organizational changes in its senior management in Latin America, as well as in the general management positions of Mexico and Brazil.
Colin de Souza, who previously held the position of Regional Head for South Asia, has been appointed as president of ONE Latin America, succeeding Peter Duifhuizen, who is retiring after 48 years of dedication to the maritime transport market.
Under Duifhuizen’s leadership, ONE Latin America began operating in April 2018 and expanded its existing service offerings to regions such as Europe and the United States.
Colin de Souza, an experienced leader in the maritime transport and global logistics sector, with over three decades of experience in the market, officially commenced his duties on May 6th.
Additionally, the carrier announced that other changes have occurred in the positions of Country Heads for Brazil and Mexico.
Gilberto Santos, formerly the Country Head for Brazil, has assumed the role of Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Service Management for ONE in Singapore. In his place, Artur Bezerra, who previously held the same position in Mexico, was appointed.
Similarly, Paulo Biazotti was appointed as the leader for Mexico, coming from the regional vice presidency of Marketing & Commercial for South Asia in Singapore.
ONE is the sixth-largest container shipping line in the world, with a fleet of approximately 1.8 million TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units). It operates over 230 vessels, serving an international network with more than 180 services to 120 countries. With over eight thousand employees, its global headquarters are in Singapore, with regional offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, the United Kingdom, the United States, Brazil, and the United Arab Emirates.
ONE is a member of THE Alliance (THEA), a global consortium of maritime carriers.
