NUEVO LAREDO, TAMPS. – The excitement, pride, and adrenaline were felt. Amid laughter, music, and families gathered together, the engines started marking the start of the sixth edition of MT Frontera 2025 , a celebration where more than 100 drivers from across the country put their driving skills and passion for trucking to the test.
The event, which brought together more than 30 sponsoring companies , consolidated a space where technical competition meets family fun. Before the competitions began, MT Frontera 2025 kicked off with a parade of classic tractors , showcasing color and quality.
From the inauguration, Ramiro Montemayor, vice president of the National Chamber of Cargo Transportation (Canacar) and candidate for the presidency of this organization, stated that the MT represents “a celebration that dignifies the operator’s profession and recognizes their essential role in the country’s economy.”

“These meetings recognize the effort and discipline of those who keep Mexico’s roads moving,” Hinojosa said.
For participating brands, closeness with operators is an opportunity to strengthen ties and trust.
“The importance of being here is spending time with the operators and their families; they spend many hours with our trucks, and it’s essential for us that they feel confident and secure in returning home safely,” shared Arnulfo Montemayor, sales manager for new units at Difrenosa.

Competition and solidarity as a route
The event not only celebrated driving skills but also promoted solidarity. In collaboration with the Nuevo Laredo Rotary Club , financial donations were made to support health programs and HPV treatment for boys and men.
On the track, some transport company directors took the wheel on an exhibition run that demonstrated their passion for the road, while a group of mechanics in action amazed the audience with a live engine assembly , showcasing the precision and talent that also drives the industry.
Finally, with a clean sweep and a friendly atmosphere, the sixth edition of MT Frontera closed with applause, laughter, and memorable photos.
“This event isn’t just a competition; it’s a tribute to those whose daily work drives Mexico’s economy and hope,” said Mario Saldívar , general director of MT Mexico, in closing remarks.
