Tire manufacturer Michelin announced changes to its management structure. The company announced that Faiez Pisal has been the new president and CEO of Mexico and Central America , based at the regional headquarters in Querétaro, since July 1.
In a statement, the French company detailed that Pisal’s career at Michelin began in 2017 and has been characterized by “outstanding results,” especially in Asia, where in 2022 he was general manager for Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar.
His training in Actuarial Science from Penn State University in the United States has helped him develop his analytical approach to transforming complex operations into growth opportunities and multi-country supply chains , the company noted.
He stated that the outgoing CEO, Matthieu Aubron , will remain with the company and assume leadership of the Urban Transportation Business Line for North America, based in Montreal, Canada. This transition ensures the continuity of strategic projects and the retention of key talent.
Mexico and Central America have become a strategic hub for the company, thanks to their industrial infrastructure. The plant located in León, Guanajuato, opened in 2018 and is expected to be expanded in 2022. It represents the group’s most modern factory, with a cumulative investment of $910 million and a production of 15 million tires over six years.
Meanwhile, the Corporate Shared Services Center in Querétaro provides administrative and financial support to all of the Americas and parts of Europe, while the regional corporate office manages commercial and logistics operations for Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.
The appointment of Faiez Pisal as CEO and the continued presence of Matthieu Aubron at Michelin ensure a stronger relationship with consumers in the region by maintaining high quality standards and promoting shared value in the communities where the brand operates.
It’s worth remembering that the company decided to end operations at its Querétaro plant to focus its efforts on its factory in León, Guanajuato.
