The most notable shipowners in terms of production were:
- General Motors , with a production of 71,497 units in July and an increase of 57.1%, compared to 45,508 in the same month in 2023.
- Honda increased its production by 25.6%, reaching 19,454 units in July 2024.
- KIA produced 21,200 units, which represents a growth of 25.4% compared to the previous year.
- Nissan , although it had a slight decrease of 11% in July 2024, is still one of the main producers with 42,494 units.
In terms of export , July 2024 recorded 271,469 units shipped abroad, which represents a slight decrease of 1.56% compared to the 275,765 units exported in July 2023.
However, the cumulative figure from January to July 2024 showed a notable recovery with a total of one million 986 thousand 263 units exported, reflecting an increase of 8.44% compared to the same period of the previous year.
Among the shipowners that stood out in exports are:
- General Motors, with an increase of 22.2%, exporting 57,157 units in July 2024.
- Honda recorded a notable increase of 69.3% in its exports, with 25,595 units.
- BMW Group increased its exports by 100.8%, reaching 11,661 units in July 2024.
- Volkswagen , despite a decrease in July of 19.3%, showed an increase of 29.4% in the accumulated period from January to July 2024, with 188,681 units exported.

The Inegi report reflects sustained growth in the production and export of light vehicles in Mexico during the first seven months of 2024. These figures highlight the importance of the automotive industry as a fundamental pillar of the national economy.
