Global transport and logistics company LEMAN has announced the appointment of René Bach Larsen as its new CEO, effective November 1st of this year.
“I am very excited to join LEMAN and bring my international experience to the company’s global growth in the coming years. LEMAN is an ambitious company with important plans on the agenda and I look forward to being part of that journey,” said Bach Larsen on his appointment.
The firm stressed that the new CEO will bring decades of experience in the freight transport sector , having held various positions at the transport and logistics company GEODIS . At the firm he served as country manager in Indonesia, overseas director in the United Kingdom, as well as director of mergers. At the same company he also served as general manager of the South Asia cluster, as sub-regional managing director for ASEAN and most recently as general manager for North America.
“I am particularly excited about LEMAN’s people-driven approach and its core values of respect, quality and commitment, which I will be dedicated to fostering as we move forward together,” said Bach Larsen.
It is worth noting that, in August 2023, LEMAN arrived in Mexico, driven by the opportunities offered by the relocation of industries ( nearshoring ), as well as by the growth goals in Latin America.
The pharmaceutical, retail , lifestyle (furniture), textile, consumer goods, e-commerce and retail sectors with business in the United States are the ones that have driven the freight forwarder company.
