In 2020, resilience emerged as the dominant concept following the disruption caused by the pandemic. While many organizations adopted it as a slogan, few have managed to embed its true meaning into their organizational culture: not only the capacity to recover from adversity, but the ability to evolve and strengthen through it. This antifragility approach is the foundation of Trayecto ‘s strategic plan for 2026, anticipated as one of the most challenging years for the trucking industry.
In a context defined by economic and geopolitical uncertainty, Trayecto (No. 1 in the Top 100 Trucking Companies®) demonstrates that its sectoral dominance transcends immediate volatility. The organization operates with a long-term macro-strategic vision.
“ Trayecto ’s resilience stems from a long-term vision. By 2035, we have set our goal of having a fleet where 65% will use alternative energy sources to diesel. Furthermore, we aim to be among the eight largest trucking companies in the world, but also the best in terms of values, human quality, and technology,” says Jorge A. Casares, CEO of Trayecto .
On the path to achieving this project, it is clear that effective and close communication with stakeholders (customers, employees, shareholders, suppliers, authorities, society, and the environment) is necessary, identifying and maximizing opportunities with customers, but at the same time considering the impact that can be had on the market.
“ Our planning must be relentless in its discipline and impeccable in its execution . We cannot move forward by creating distortions in the market or affecting competitors and suppliers,” Casares points out.
One of the elements that stands out in Trayecto ‘s vision is the consistency of its planning. On December 17, 2019 , Jorge Casares’ plan set a goal of reaching a fleet of 5,000 tractor-trailer trucks and 12,500 trailers by December 2024. “Today we have 5,400 tractor-trailer trucks. When this commitment was made, the next step was to communicate it to the entire management team and set a goal, which was achieved with a long-term vision,” explains Jorge Casares..
