SoftServe revealed the results of its recent study Where is the transformative value of generative artificial intelligence?, conducted by Forrester Consulting , which evaluated the current use of generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) in global companies , which showed that Companies have not achieved the expected results with technology.
Industry 4.0 represents the fourth industrial revolution, which has been marked by the adoption of different technologies such as the internet of things (loT), hybrid computing and, of course, AI , a technology that is increasingly adopted by different industries. .
However, the study revealed that only 22% of organizations reported having effectively used technology across all their business functions.
This study took as a sample the experience of 777 decision makers regarding the purchase of technology and showed as one of its main findings that more than half of those interviewed affirm that their company has established business objectives for the use of Gen AI, but at least 79% are concerned about their organization’s ability to achieve them , given current levels of internal or external expertise.
In this sense, only 42% of organizations indicated that they can train Gen AI models , while 89% have difficulties preparing the internal data that will feed the actions of this technology.
A top concern for companies is internal data readiness, governance, and skill development for the use of this technology, but 75% or more experience readiness challenges around skills to handle artificial intelligence. generative; In addition, 77% are concerned about their company’s potential to obtain commercial value from this innovation in the short or long term.
