
Mexican, Canadian, and African airlines saw growth in international cargo traffic during the January-November period of last year compared to the same period in 2024, according to data from the Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC) .
According to the organization, Mexican firms obtained an increase of 18.5% , going from 164,817 tons in that period of 2024 to 195,355 tons in 2025.
Meanwhile, African companies transported 7,633 tons in the first 11 months of 2025 compared to 7,225 tons in the same period of 2024, which meant an increase of 5.6% year-on-year.
AFAC stated that Canadian companies moved 4,911 tons from January to November 2025 , a growth of 496.4% over the same period in 2024, when they handled 823 tons.

Regarding the declines in air cargo transport, the AFAC highlighted that Asian airlines registered a decrease of 12.1% , the largest of all regions, going from 136,922 tons in January-November 2024 to 120,371 tons in the same period of 2025.
In second place are the US companies, with a decrease of 10.7% , ending the reference period with 105,765 tons compared to the 118,385 tons they managed to move from January to November 2024.
The report from the agency detailed that European shipments fell by 8.6% , going from 156,477 tons in 2024 to 142,952 tons in the first 11 months of last year.
In the period up to November 2025, airlines in Central and South America experienced a decrease of 4.3% , with 23,411 tons moved.
