Prevention days, walks and a rally were the activities that Hutchison Ports in Mexico carried out in various terminals in the country to promote healthy lifestyles and raise awareness about the importance of early detection in the framework of the International Day of the fight against breast cancer , which is commemorated every October 19.
In this regard, Hutchison Ports ICAVE in Veracruz held its first race against breast cancer on October 5 , in which 150 people participated , running two kilometers in order to promote physical activity and combat a sedentary lifestyle. The first three runners were awarded medals and electronic wallets, and all participants received commemorative kits .
In Ensenada, Baja California, on October 19, the EIT and ECV terminals organized a 1.7-kilometer walk and a rally that combined physical tests with a questionnaire on breast cancer prevention . These activities, in addition to raising awareness among employees, helped to strengthen coexistence and teamwork.
Meanwhile, Hutchison Ports TILH in Hidalgo held a prevention day on October 17, which focused on training in self-examination and healthy habits . During the day, a cancer survivor shared her personal experience.
