HH Transportes , a member of the Welldex Group , operates as the specialized land transportation division within a logistics ecosystem that includes customs, inventory, consulting, and international transportation services.
Although it shares synergies with the group, it maintains its own operating strategy , focused on autonomous growth and building a solid base of direct customers.
Eleven years ago, 90% of its clients came from the group’s customs agency. Today, 70% of its portfolio is entirely its own.

“We’ve grown dramatically. When I arrived, we had just 17 units. Today we have 252,” Enrique Deschamps Espino Barros, executive director of HH Transportes, told T21.
HH Transportes ‘ operating model is divided between port cargo and national distribution, with units located in Manzanillo, Veracruz, Altamira, León, Querétaro, and Mexico City.
The company has opted to combine its own fleet with controlled subcontracting , and its next step is to consolidate a new logistics division to increase the percentage of subcontracted trips from the current 25% to 40%.
“We want to grow in logistics with professionalism. We already do that, but in a limited way. We’re going to structure and formalize it much more,” Deschamps said.
Operators at the center of the model
The operator shortage is not just an operational challenge; it’s a key indicator within the company’s strategy.
HH Transportes has a team of seven to eight people dedicated exclusively to recruiting operators, a task they consider even more critical than sales. The logic is clear: as long as there are operators available, the capacity to sell and move cargo naturally increases.
The company also has an internal training school and is constantly investing in technology to prevent accidents. They are currently testing artificial intelligence systems that detect signs of fatigue or distraction in the cabin.
“If an operator nods off or is eating, the system issues an alert and asks them to stop. Safety is our priority,” Deschamps explained.
With a robust monitoring network and strict protocols, HH Transportes managed to thwart multiple theft attempts. The company invested heavily in security, which led to concrete results, such as the recent recovery of a stolen vehicle in Puebla.
In addition, it was recognized as one of the companies with the most modern fleet, in 2024, by T21 at the Transportation Awards , an award that highlights companies with solid growth and good operating practices.
Customers at the center, always
HH Transportes’ philosophy is based on constant closeness with its customers . Its sales team participates in daily meetings to coordinate shipments efficiently.
The growth plan is also already in place: reaching 430 units by 2027-2028 and beginning to cross into the United States with an initial fleet, according to Deschamps.
He commented that, although they don’t aim to be the largest, they do want to be their customers’ first choice when it comes to service. “We want them to see us as a reliable option when someone has urgent or delicate cargo.”
