In addition to its connectivity, the hub maintains ties with universities and research centers for the training of specialized human capital, ensuring the availability of qualified personnel for the strategic sectors that will be established in the region.
“The property designated for the Economic Development Hub for Well-being and Innovation in Hermosillo, Sonora, has industrial land use and basic urban infrastructure, high development potential for the hub and established industries, as well as interest from new investors,” the declaration stated.
Regarding sustainability , the facility already has an environmental impact statement (EIS) and a technical justification study (TSS), both with approval resolutions issued in July 2024. “Mitigation actions are currently being carried out in accordance with the measures established by the environmental authority,” the document stated.
This development hub is aligned with the objectives of Plan Mexico , which seeks to strengthen domestic and regional markets to position the country among the world’s top 10 economies.
The project also seeks to be a long-term tool that supports an industrialization strategy in Mexico, increasing the participation of national companies in the export supply chain and in the production of products for domestic consumption.
