After Grúas y Soluciones Logísticas (GSL) inaugurated its new facilities in Mexico City last year and integrated two new Shacman X3000 units and a Sitrak unit equipped with an articulated crane capable of handling 10 tons, the company is steadily advancing in 2024.
In an interview with T21, Carlos Salas, Chairman of the Board of GSL, detailed that the company’s goal by the end of the year is to maintain the same growth trend as in 2023, when it closed with a 20% increase in sales.
Their strategy to achieve this is to offer modern equipment because it is important for customers that the units are equipped with the latest technology and in the best condition.
“To keep the fleet in top condition, we pay special attention to preventive maintenance, which gives us greater certainty and helps us avoid having broken-down vehicles. All of this has led us to achieve a 98.2% on-time arrival rate, which is a very effective average because delays in equipment arrivals are common in transportation,” he said.
Currently, GSL has 36 units (tractor-trailers and cranes) and six telescopic cranes ranging from 85 to 220 tons. This year, GSL will integrate a 120-ton crane and two more articulated cranes, weighing 110 and 78 tons respectively, with motorized equipment included in both cases.
“These pieces of equipment are added to the fleet to strengthen our presence with recurring customers who demand focused attention,” added the entrepreneur.
To continue with their expansion plans, GSL plans to open a new branch in the northern region of the country. While Salas did not provide details on the exact date, he hinted that the inauguration will take place in the coming months.
Additionally, GSL has a presence at the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) with a service center in the airport’s regulatory yard. “With this location, we provide service with articulated cranes and tractor-trailers. We are the first company registered to be able to transport specialized equipment from the airport terminal,” Salas affirmed.
The growth of the industry and the demands from suppliers for the necessary capacity and experience to handle large-sized loads have led GSL to become an ally that offers specialized transport maneuver services for all types of loads, industrial cranes, articulated cranes on trailers and trucks, and logistics solutions within the supply chain for deliveries at the final link.
“Currently, GSL has high-end equipment to carry out all kinds of operations. In this regard, the investments we made last year served to strengthen our operation, so this year we anticipate good growth mainly driven by infrastructure projects in the country and our involvement in equipment movements in Monterrey for the construction of the city’s new metro lines,” detailed the Chairman of the Board of GSL.
