Grupo CICE, integrator of logistics services, reported on Thursday that it has inaugurated its third warehouse under the 3PL ( Third Party Logistics ) scheme in Monterrey, Nuevo León, under an investment of 1.9 million pesos.
This opening goes hand in hand with the company’s expansion plan , which already has two operational warehouses in the State of Mexico.
The new facility began operations this August 1, 2024, within the framework of the group’s thirty-third anniversary, extending CICE’s presence in the north of the country.
Located in the Stiva Aeropuerto Industrial Park, on Miguel Alemán Street km 23.7, Ciudad Apodaca, Nuevo León, it has a surface area of seven thousand 730 square meters and benefits from a privileged location, since it is less than two km from the Airport. Monterrey International and with direct access to highways.
Likewise, “it offers optimal logistics connectivity to serve key industries such as automotive, electronics, industrial lighting, household appliances, refrigeration equipment, steel and derivatives,” according to a press release from Grupo CICE.
This location and its own characteristics allow for a reduction in inventory costs, improved operational efficiency, optimization of the supply chain and greater accuracy in demand forecasting. In addition, it provides flexibility in inventory management and enables tax deferral, essential benefits for national and IMMEX warehousing operations, value-added services and last mile distribution.
The launch of the warehouse improves the company’s capacity to handle volumes of merchandise that arrive in Veracruz and are subsequently manufactured in the north of the country for export to the United States.
Likewise, the proximity to Mexico’s busiest land border, in Nuevo Laredo//Laredo, and the customs and land transportation infrastructure in the region, ensure a continuous and efficient flow in the supply chain of its clients.
“In terms of technology, the warehouse is equipped with advanced inventory and appointment management systems, using Oracle EBS and WMS, implemented in the group’s other facilities, which guarantees precise and efficient control of all operations, offering a robust and efficient network of warehouses and logistics services throughout the country,” he stated.
Looking to the future, the company plans to continue its expansion with new facilities in Guadalajara by 2025 , underlining its commitment to expanding its portfolio of logistics solutions in Mexico, offering comprehensive and efficient services to a wide range of industrial sectors.
