Economic volatility, a decline in freight, and insecurity are factors that have tested the responsiveness of transportation and logistics companies. For Grupo Bimbo , these obstacles haven’t changed its direction: its focus remains on investment, growth, and listening closely to its customers .
In conversation with T21 , Luis Alberto Campos, the company’s global logistics manager, noted that environmental pressures affect small and large companies alike, and Bimbo is no exception.
“Fortunately, we always have the talent and creativity to be there and ultimately seek to overcome all the industry’s challenges,” he said.
The commitment to job creation and expansion has been constant, even in an adverse environment.
“The focus has always been on growth, investment, and job creation, but this doesn’t mean we aren’t experiencing the various situations that are occurring,” Campos commented.
Within this vision, inclusion plays a key role. Campos emphasized that women are actively involved in all areas of the company and have now even begun to make inroads as transportation operators.
“Today we have women in sales, in manufacturing, in offices, in logistics, and now we’re already seeing them as transporters, and we’re going to continue to invest heavily,” she emphasized.
Looking ahead to the coming years, Bimbo is focusing its efforts on strengthening its supply chain and keeping it integrated.
“We must continue strengthening our value chain, be integrated, and serve our clients and consumers. Today, we have a market that’s always changing, always expecting different things, and we’re a company that’s very aware of those needs,” he explained.
Bimbo’s commitment can be summed up in a simple but powerful vision, as Campos summarized: “To finally be in the homes of all Mexicans, and as always, to be a recognized brand, loved by all.”
