The airport groups of the Pacific (GAP) , North Central (OMA) and Southeast (Asur) registered growth in their income for 2024, despite the decline in passenger movement.
The concessionaires stated that the increase in their income is due to the aeronautical and non-aeronautical income they provide, such as restaurants, VIP lounges and shops, among others, within their airports.
GAP mentioned in its report sent to the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV) that it increased its income by 1.2% during the last year compared to the same period in 2023, going from 33,224 million pesos to 33,614 million pesos.

However, revenues at Mexico’s airports decreased by 346.1 million pesos, or 2.1%, in the period from January to December year-on-year, mainly due to a 1% reduction in passenger traffic and a 92.5% compliance rate.
However, its net profit fell by 8.4% because it ended the year with 8,875 million pesos compared to 9,689 million pesos in the period compared.
Regarding passenger movement, it reported a 2.1% drop, transporting 62 million 156 thousand users, compared to 63 million 461 thousand in 2023.
For its part, OMA, the concessionaire of 13 airports in the country, recorded an annual increase of 4.3% in its revenues in 2024 , going from 14 million 457 thousand pesos to 15 million 073 pesos; as well as an adjusted EBITDA that reached 9 thousand 069 million pesos, maintaining the level of 2023.
He said diversification activities increased by 28%, mainly due to growth in revenues from industrial services and hotel services.

Passenger traffic was reduced by 1.2% as it received 26 million 510 thousand users against the 26 million 845 thousand in 2023, this derived from the 3.5% decrease in the offer of seats by the airlines.
Asur reported a 21.8% increase in its total revenues for 2024 , from 19 million 027 thousand 902 pesos to 23 million 168 thousand 690 pesos. Revenues for the fourth quarter of that year alone increased by 31.2% year-on-year, mainly due to the results of the approval of the Master Development Plan.

While its net profit for the mentioned period was 11 million 632 thousand 439 pesos compared to eight million 708 thousand 481 pesos in 2023, which translated into an increase of 33.6 percent.
Meanwhile, the number of users moved went from 43 million 754 thousand to 41 million 645 thousand, which represented a 4.8% decrease year-on-year.
Domestic traffic ended at 19 million 808 thousand 950 passengers, compared to 21 million 272 thousand 863 passengers in 2023, a drop of 6.9%; meanwhile, international traffic fell 2.6%, going from 22 million 195 thousand 121 to 21 million 611 thousand 380 users.
