DP World , a logistics and supply chain solutions company, announced the opening of its new office in Mexico City , with the goal of offering its freight forwarding services in North and Central America. This expansion reflects the company’s strategy to position Mexico as an essential hub in its global trade network.
The new center will focus on providing end-to-end solutions integrating ocean freight (FCL and LCL), air freight, automotive logistics, customs brokerage, and cross-border transportation. These freight forwarding capabilities are designed to serve key sectors such as automotive, technology, retail, and consumer goods.
“Our new office in Mexico City strengthens our regional network and positions us to support cross-border supply chains with greater efficiency and scale. With strong demand from strategic industries and its prime geographic location, Mexico plays a key role in building more resilient and connected trade flows across the continent,” said Terry Donohoe, Senior Vice President of Freight Forwarding for the Americas at DP World.
The company announced that Mexico City will be its central freight transportation hub , supported by offices in Guadalajara and Monterrey. This network will connect the country’s main industrial corridors, such as Querétaro, Ciudad Juárez, San Luis Potosí, and Puebla.
The company also plans to expand its air services , and is currently seeking registration with the Mexican Association of Freight Forwarders (Amacarga)and certification from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) . It is also integrating into Mexico’s logistics ecosystem by recently joining the Northeast Chapter of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Monterrey.
DP World has nearly 800 specialists dedicated to freight forwarding in Mexico. Since 2023, the company has established more than 180 such offices worldwide , including 35 in the Americas.
