With the haughty and proud character that distinguishes him, Donald Trump entered the Capitol in Washington DC for the inauguration ceremony as the 47th President of the United States , provoking applause from his supporters, including the billionaire owner of the electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla, Elon Musk, which intensified with his speech with anti-immigrant measures and against Mexican drug cartels, promising Americans to return greatness to that country.

Among the first actions announced, as president of our northern neighbor, he said he would issue an emergency declaration to stop “the disastrous invasion of our country” and send troops to the southern border to end migration.

In other actions, he indicated that he will designate drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations , in order to restore peace in the United States and end the public health problem caused by fentanyl.

In that regard, he said he would use Law 1798, which allows the federal government to detain, deport or restrict foreigners from countries with which the United States is at war, to protect the American Union from “threats and invasions.”

On the economic front , he said he would restructure the trade system to benefit American workers and their families, which is why he would impose tariffs and taxes on other countries.

“We’re going to establish the Foreign Treasury Service to collect taxes and duties from other countries, which will provide a huge boost to our treasury from foreign sources, and soon the American dream will return like never before,” Trump said.

In his speech, Trump reiterated what he had promised in recent days, in the sense of changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America .” He also threatened to take back the Panama Canal, since the United States invested in its construction and it was wrongly given to that country.

He said that Panama broke an agreement they had with them and that they have charged high fees to American ships passing through there. He also indicated that China is operating the Panama Canal . “We gave it to Panama and not to China and we are going to get it back,” he stressed.
