The Nuevo León Chamber of Manufacturing Industries (CAINTRA) reported that, during March, most manufacturing diffusion indicators showed a decline, marking five consecutive months of decline.
However, CAINTRA reported that, compared to February, there was a slight upturn in some production indices, such as new orders, physical production volume and capacity utilization, where increases were recorded, reaching 45.5 , 46.5 and 48.1 points , respectively, although they remain below the expansion threshold of 50 points .
Regarding foreign trade, the export and import indicators also showed slight progress, reaching 46.4 and 44.5 points, but still below the level of expansion.
In contrast, inventories maintained their upward trend, reaching 51.5 points and consolidating in the expansion zone during the last two months .
Regarding investment, CAINTRA observed a slight increase in the proportion of companies that made purchases of machinery, equipment or construction, reaching 25% , although it is the second month of recovery, the figure is lower than 2024 .
Finally, regarding obstacles for businesses, the political landscape was positioned as the main challenge, although with a smaller proportion of companies affected at 50.8 percent .
Meanwhile, the adverse international environment and the shortage of trained personnel increased, being reported by 39.3% and 29.5% of companies, respectively.
