The Mexican Business Council for Foreign Trade, Investment and Technology (Comce) announced on Monday the formation of its new board during a recent assembly of associates. In a unanimous decision, Valentín Diez Morodo was named honorary president, while Sergio Contreras Pérez assumed the role of executive president.
Diez Morodo has a long history in the presidency of Comce and various organizations both in Mexico and abroad. Likewise, Sergio Contreras has notable experience in international banking and investment and trade promotion.
In this sense and in search of continuous improvement, Valentín Diez Morodo highlighted the importance of adopting new technologies and methods to improve the efficiency and competitiveness of the organization.
“These appointments respond to a structural evolution that we are carrying out. It is not simply a change in the way we operate, but an institutional strategy designed to respond not only to the present, but to the future of the country,” added Diez Morodo,
For his part, Sergio Contreras Pérez emphasized the relevance of Comce’s link with different government agencies and the Business Coordinating Council (CCE) , whose mandate includes the promotion of foreign trade and foreign investment.
“Comce is being transformed through reengineering and restructuring that will be reinforced with a new vision and strategy through innovative tools in artificial intelligence and business,” added Contreras Pérez.
During the Assembly, prominent businessmen joined the national board of directors, including Francisco Cervantes of the CCE, Rolando Vega of the Mexican Business Council (CMN) , José Medina Mora of the Employers’ Confederation of the Mexican Republic (Coparmex) and Alejandro Malagón of the National Confederation of Industrial Chambers of the Mexican Republic (Concamin) , among others.
These leaderships will continue to strengthen Comce and the participation of Mexican companies abroad and attract investment in the country through innovative strategies and advanced technology.
