
The National Chamber of Freight Transportation (Canacar) delivered an electronic truck simulator and a Freightliner Cascadia 2026 tractor-trailer to the Industrial Work Training Center No. 28 (CECAti No. 28) in Aguascalientes, with the purpose of strengthening the technical training of future operators.
During the event, Miguel Ángel Martínez, president of Canacar, thanked the state governor, María Teresa Jiménez, federal and municipal authorities, as well as Freightliner , for their support in developing the human talent that drives Mexico .
“We will continue to promote training, fleet renewal, and formal employment as strategic pillars for a more modern, competitive, and dignified trucking industry,” he stated.
For his part, Roberto Díaz, state delegate for Canacar, acknowledged that this achievement was achieved thanks to a collective effort.
“Thank you for all the support we’ve always received. Here, people are trained to ensure safety prevails on the country’s streets and highways. Driving a vehicle of this size involves great responsibility, and here you have the necessary equipment to do so,” he said.
Students from the institution expressed their gratitude for the support received from authorities and the private sector, and emphasized that the driving simulator and the transportation unit will strengthen their practical and safe training .
This effort is part of a strategic alliance between the Mexican government, state and municipal authorities, the education sector, and the private sector, which seeks to build a certified national training model that promotes safer, more efficient, and more competitive transportation .
The event was attended by officials such as Gerardo Martínez, director of Cecati No. 28; Leonardo Montañez, mayor of Aguascalientes; Jaime García, vice president of Canacar, Bajío region; among others.
Mexico faces a shortage of more than 90,000 operators , according to data from the World Road Transport Organization (IRU) . With actions like this, Canacar seeks to close this gap by dignifying the trade and strengthening job skills.
