Violence continues to mark the pulse of the port of Acapulco , where recently three workers of consumer companies were victims of armed attacks in a period of two hours on January 23.
These events, which left three dead, show the fragile security affecting both residents and productive sectors of the region . This has caused alarm among employees of various companies, even generating temporary work stoppages at companies such as Coca Cola , Pepsi , FUD , among others.
According to reports on social media, workers feared that this situation could be repeated in areas where they normally carry out their activities.
In response, the main associations in the sector, including the Confederation of Industrial Chambers of the United Mexican States (Concamin) , and the chambers and associations that comprise it, condemned the events through a statement and demanded urgent measures from the authorities to guarantee the safety of transport operators and distributors.
In their statement, they stressed: “It is essential that the rule of law prevails in Mexico and that the authorities address this situation, since the damage goes beyond the material, as we have gone from robberies of the transportation of goods to the direct impact on employees, resulting in the loss of human lives, which is unacceptable.”
In the letter, the associations agreed on the need to hold meetings with federal and state authorities to implement concrete actions to prevent future incidents and provide guarantees to both companies and their employees.

The Government of Guerrero announced a reinforcement of security in Acapulco , implementing joint operations between the National Guard, the State Public Security Secretariat, the Navy and the National Defense Secretariat.
