TEXCOCO, EDOMEX. – Coppel inaugurated its new Regional Distribution Center in Texcoco , State of Mexico, a key facility for its logistics network in the country. This center seeks to optimize the delivery and supply processes of the 235 stores located in central and southern Mexico.
With an investment of 1.2 billion pesos and the incorporation of advanced technologies , Agustín Coppel, general director of the company, highlighted that this new center will increase the company’s productivity by 25% , improving the management of large volumes of orders.
“It will allow us to strengthen our service at all points of contact with the customer. In addition, it will create a thousand direct jobs, with training and development plans for employees, which reinforces our commitment to the professional growth of employees,” explained Coppel.
The Distribution Center in Texcoco is distinguished by integrating cutting-edge technologies, such as warehouse management systems (WMS), which improve precision and speed in distribution.
Among the most notable advances, Agustín Coppel mentioned the incorporation of electric forklifts, automated packaging and an omnichannel module that will facilitate direct delivery to the consumer.
The company also stressed its focus on sustainability , highlighting the installation of 917 that will generate 750 kW per year, avoiding the emission of hundreds of tons of CO2, and the use of hybrid and electric transport.
From the government level, both the governor of the State of Mexico, Delfina Gómez, and the Secretary of Economic Development, Laura González, reaffirmed the commitment of the State of Mexico to industrial growth, pointing out that the entity is consolidated as a key point in national logistics .
“The State of Mexico is home to 389 distribution centers, representing 13% of the total nationwide, and is attractive for investment due to its airport and rail connectivity,” said González.
For her part, Governor Delfina Gómez highlighted the importance of these projects in job creation and local economic development.
With this new facility, Coppel is seeking to continue positioning itself as a benchmark in the distribution and delivery of products in Mexico.
