
GUADALAJARA, JAL.- The Mexican Association of Mobility Authorities (AMAM) presented its 2024-2025 report of achievements and progress within the framework of Expo Transporte ANPACT 2025 , highlighting activities to improve road safety, as well as the promotion of electromobility.
At the event, the 2024-2025 board of directors emphasized that part of the positive results achieved were directed towards the transformation of transportation and new alternatives in the field.
Among the most outstanding advances on AMAM’s agenda are the building of bridges with the federal government and the development of the first Specialization Program in the Transformation of Public Transportation, noted Ricardo Serrano Rangel, general coordinator of Mobility of Aguascalientes and president of the organization.
In her participation, she added that, among other actions, experiences were exchanged with the support of GIZ and the World Resources Institute (WRI) in favor of better mobility in Mexico.
Institutional strengthening was also promoted , as well as initiatives to enhance communication and visibility of the work done by this organization.
In addition, good practices were implemented with AMAM resources, with the purpose of strengthening financial sustainability .
In that sense, the historical income of the private sector to AMAM at WRI Mexico reached more than 3.6 million pesos (mdp) as of September 2025, a considerable increase compared to 2024, when it was 2.5 mdp.
“Today, we proudly say that AMAM has established itself as a collaborative space, and although the path has been challenging, we have remained steadfast in promoting sustainable mobility at the national level from the local level,” said Ricardo Serrano.
The presentation also announced the integration into the AMAM advisory council of Julieta Leo Lozano, from the Mario Molina Center; Isabel Von G, from GIZ; Bernardo Baranda, from the Institute for Transport and Development Policy; Amado Crotte, from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) ; Vicente Torres, from the International Association of Public Transport; and Fernando Páez, from WRI Colombia.
With these integrations, the organization seeks to continue on the path towards better mobility in the country, stressed Angélica Vesga, technical secretary of AMAM.
