The renewal of specialized equipment fleets remains a key element for companies involved in mining and infrastructure activities in Mexico. In this context, Fruehauf de México completed the delivery of new dump trucks to Grupo La Cantera Desarrollos Mineros , a transaction that reflects the continuation of a business relationship that both companies have built over more than a decade.
The trailer and semi-trailer manufacturer emphasized that this delivery is part of the operational support it has provided to the mining company over the years, a collaboration where the reliability of the equipment and its performance in the field have been key factors in sustaining the relationship. According to the company, the partnership has been characterized by a focus on quality, trust, and innovation , elements that have allowed for ongoing collaboration in operations related to the mining sector.
Grupo La Cantera is a Mexican company dedicated to the development and construction of mining projects, as well as the execution of specialized infrastructure works for this industry. Since its founding in October 2006, the company has participated in processes related to underground mining , focusing on operations that seek to guarantee safety, productivity, and sustainability in the projects in which it participates, with the objective of promoting the development of mining activity in the country.
The recent delivery consisted of 10 dump trucks on chassis, six with a capacity of nine cubic meters and four with a capacity of seven cubic meters . The units incorporate a Hardox steel bed and tailgate, Parker piston, as well as a pump, power take-off, and oil tank—components that are part of the configuration designed for heavy-duty operations in demanding work environments.
From the customer’s perspective, the continued relationship with the manufacturer is explained by the operational performance of the equipment. “We have more than 70 dump trucks on Fruehauf chassis, and what motivates us most to continue choosing them as our partner is the volumetric capacity, the structure, the quality and performance of the steel used to manufacture the equipment, as well as the advantage of requiring less maintenance due to the original components used in their construction,” stated an executive from Grupo La Cantera.
For Fruehauf, these types of deliveries reflect the importance of maintaining a close relationship with the operators who use their equipment in demanding industrial activities. “We are very proud to continue supporting Grupo Cantera in its growth. For us, it is important to continue offering excellent quality units, designed for their operation, always accompanied by professional advice that has generated trust over the years,” said Rodrigo Arcos, Commercial Director of Fruehauf.
This acquisition comes at a time when the modernization of specialized equipment remains a key factor for companies involved in extractive and infrastructure activities, sectors where the availability of reliable and durable machinery can directly impact operational productivity. In this context, the addition of new dump trucks strengthens Grupo La Cantera’s operational capacity in projects related to underground mining and specialized works for this industry.
