
Scania Mexico announced the completion of a strategic alliance with Frío Express (No. 15 in the Top 100 Autotransporte® ) by delivering 10 460 R 6×4 tractor units. This transport company has more than 45 years of experience in domestic and international general cargo transportation.
During the event held at Frío Express’s headquarters in Aguascalientes, Alejandro Mondragón, president and CEO of Scania Mexico, celebrated this new step for both companies: “Frío Express not only trusts our vehicles, but also a shared vision of the future. A vision where profitability and high performance are combined with a true commitment to sustainability. Today we celebrate that companies like Frio Express are committed to a more efficient and environmentally responsible operation.”
The Scania 460 R 6×4 units delivered are equipped with Euro 6 technology and a Super engine , technology that allows for greater fuel consumption efficiency, reduced emissions and operational reliability, essential elements for a company like Frio Express, which carries out large-scale and high-volume logistics operations.
“These units are designed to respond to the most demanding conditions of general cargo transportation. In addition to technical performance, Frio Express will be supported by our national service network , with connected solutions, proactive maintenance, and a customer-centric approach,” said Jorge Navarro, Commercial Director of Trucks and Buses at Scania Mexico.
José Ramón Medrano, CEO of Frio Express, expressed his gratitude for the collaboration with Scania and emphasized the importance of working with partners who share efficiency and modernization goals.
Meanwhile, Alfonso Giacinti Sánchez, director of operations, added that this acquisition represents an investment in reliability, security, and a vision for the future.
Frio Express currently has more than 700 tractor-trailers, over 1,200 trailers, over 1,200 associates, and a workforce of over 1,300 employees. Its operations cover domestic and international routes, including crossings to the United States and Canada, with a constant commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
