The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation (SICT) has implemented a series of modifications to simplify administrative procedures for motor vehicle traffic operating on Mexico’s federal highways.
The federal agency published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) that these changes are focused on the General Directorate of Federal Motor Transport (DGAF) and the General Directorate of Protection and Preventive Medicine in Transportation (DGPMPT) .
He specified that with this agreement, various requirements that the trucking permit holders had to carry out are merged and limited to nine .
In addition, 11 procedural requirements have been updated , reducing the paperwork and streamlining the processes for submitting each one. Two homoclaves have also been updated regarding the issuance of permits for federal general cargo trucking services and for the issuance of permits for specialized cargo services.
Additionally, a requirement related to the DGPMPT, which is the “Training Evaluation Report Notice,” is eliminated.
The SICT specified that any procedures submitted prior to the publication of the agreement will be resolved in accordance with the applicable regulations in force at the time of submission.
He specified that the agreement will enter into force five business days after publication in the DOF, that is, on July 9.
It also indicated that it will modify the necessary information on the transaction forms, including the corresponding formats registered in the National Catalog of Regulations, Procedures, and Services, in accordance with Article 47 of the General Law on Regulatory Improvement.
