Turkish Airlines , Air France , and Lufthansa Cargo were the three freight carriers that grew during the first quarter of 2025 (1Q25) in the handling of merchandise to Mexico, compared to the same period in 2024.
According to statistics from the Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC) , the former registered a rise of 10.6% to end with 5,246.89 tons , while the French had a growth of 10.4% by mobilizing 5,604.98 tons and the German with 9.3%, since it ended with 6,671.53 tons in said period.

Contrary to the growth of these airlines, Cargolux Airlines , Emirates and FedEx were the ones that suffered declines in cargo traffic to Mexico, with decreases of 33.3%, 32.2% and 24.6% , respectively, in the reference period.
Similarly, the AFAC stated that in market share from January to March of this year, the American company FedEx had the greatest growth, with 15.7 percent, followed by Cathay Pacific Airways with 11.3 percent, and Cargolux Airlines with 9.8 percent.

Meanwhile, the routes with the greatest increase in freight transport in the first quarter of 2025 were Santa Lucía-Los Angeles, Memphis-Guadalajara, Hong Kong-Guadalajara, and Sao Paulo-Mexico .
