The Inter-American Commission on Ports of the Organization of American States (CIP-OAS) together with the American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA) LATAM announced the winners of the 2025 CIP-OAS Port Industry Excellence Award.
Now in its fourth year, these awards recognize ports that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to optimizing their operations, technological innovation, and strengthening strategic alliances.
In the Port Performance and Growth category , which recognizes ports that have improved their performance with positive economic and operational impacts, the winner was Portos do Paraná , located in Brazil; and an Honorable Mention was awarded to DP World Callao , located in Peru.
The Technology and Innovation Award , given to ports that integrate technology into their operations to boost efficiency and improve the quality of their services, went to the Port of Santo Tomás de Castilla , located in Guatemala; and an Honorable Mention was awarded to Peru LNG .
Finally, in the Public-Private Partnerships award , given to ports that promote strategic public-private partnerships for port development, it went to DP World Posorja , located in Ecuador; and the Manta Port Terminal (TPM) , also in Ecuador, received an Honorable Mention .
AAPA-LATAM emphasized its commitment to completing the forms and, especially, the key indicators that helped the jury team make this important decision.
The awards ceremony will be held on June 25 at the AAPA-LATAM Congress, which will be held in Lima, Peru.
