Transconsult and Cal y Mayor y Asociados were the winners to carry out the demand studies for the Saltillo-Nuevo Laredo, Mexico-Querétaro and Querétaro-Irapuato passenger trains , respectively.
According to the verdict of the tenders published by Compranet for the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT) , both will have 105 calendar days to carry them out starting on January 20.
According to data from available documents, Transconsult was awarded the contract for 18 million 72 thousand 609 pesos for the Saltillo-Nuevo Laredo route, despite the fact that there was an offer for seven million 949 thousand 998 pesos but it was rejected for not meeting a requirement.
Regarding Mexico-Querétaro, Cal y Mayor y Asociados obtained the contract for six million 677 thousand 435 pesos, the lowest proposal was six million 540 thousand pesos.
Of the eight that submitted proposals, five were successful, with the consortium headed by the Technical Administrative Coordination of Works registering the highest request with 32 million 999 thousand 789 pesos.
The company will also carry out studies for the Querétaro-Irapuato line , for the Mexico-Nogales line, whose contract amounted to five million 992 thousand 960 pesos.
In this contest, the firm was the one that presented the lowest economic offer, while with 16 million 652 thousand 236 pesos it was the highest and was provided by Transconsult.
It is worth mentioning that last year tenders were launched for demand, social and urban impact, as well as legal and economic conditions for these passenger trains.
