HAF Logística Internacional , a digital freight forwarder company , has invested between 800 thousand and one million pesos in technology and other developments to increase the security of the air, land and sea supply chain , which has allowed it to have the BASC (Business Alliance for Secure Commerce) certification.
“Today we are 90% focused on security, the increasing violence that exists in the country and the contamination of cargo, and it forces us to take drastic measures to avoid the leakage of information and we have to have a shield so as not to compromise the clients’ merchandise,” according to Juan Pablo Pacheco, general manager of the company.
In an interview, he recalls that it was last June when they managed to obtain certification for supply chain security, “this puts us on a different level to what freight forwarders have today, there are few of us freight forwarders who have this certification, which is very similar to ISO 28000 and also the AEO certification for authorized economic operators.”
BASC certification allows for the implementation of actions to protect operations from illicit activities , inspections are carried out to reduce risks, and it promotes control and trust practices within the team, among other activities.
