SAN LUIS POTOSÍ, SLP.- Innovation, support and continuous improvement are the strengths that the commercial alliance that Cummins and Valvoline has forged over three decades of commercial alliance. Together, both companies have worked on the development of technological innovations in engines and lubricants that contribute to carriers having profitable businesses, allowing the reduction of the total cost of operation, in addition to contributing to the reduction of downtime, as well as the risks of inventory management, providing extended drain intervals on gasoline, diesel and natural gas engines.
Over 30 years Cummins and Valvoline have invested in the development of complementary products to boost carriers’ businesses. The commercial alliance allows Valvoline to be the only lubricating oil endorsed and recommended by Cummins, which generates up to 5% reduction in fuel consumption .

The manager highlighted that the Cummins-Valvoline alliance exceeds a joint experience of more than 250 years and stated that it is thanks to this that transporters benefit, on the one hand, from the efficiency of the engines and, on the other, from exact lubrication. for its proper functioning.

The leader of the engine business unit for Latin America indicated that in the future both companies are committed to continuing to innovate to support Mexico’s fleets with new technologies that respond to market demands.
For his part, Gustavo Smith, head of Valvoline Latin America, stressed that, although 30 years is an important period in which multiple joint objectives between Cummins and Valvoline have been met, today what is projected for the future is being developed .

Within the framework of the celebration of the commercial alliance, Claudio Bárcena, business leader in South America and leader of the Cummins LATAM Distribution and Service Channel, and Gaspar Aguilar, coordinator for Cummins Corporate Functions at the Latin American level, presented a recognition to Valvoline for his contribution to the Potosino Social Investment Fund .
