The Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) celebrated in Mexico its 50th anniversary of having started operations, immersed in a modernization and expansion of its infrastructure in which it will carry out an investment of more than nine billion dollars over a period of 10 years. .
Milton de la Paz, vice president of Airline Relations and Cargo Business Development at DFW Airport, said that part of the capital will also be allocated to improvements around the airport such as roads, bridges, as well as the construction of a new terminal for passengers and burden.
“The investments are throughout the airport, for passengers and cargo, a power plant, many investments, the first phase of Terminal F will be delivered in 2027, but there are many projects,” he explained in an interview within the framework of his celebration.
He indicated that these works will allow them to move more than 100 million passengers by 2030 , “it is quite aggressive growth.”
By the end of 2024, De la Paz said they expect 80 million users, 10% above what they finished in 2023, while for the following year there would be 90 million passengers.
“We are receiving almost 300 thousand travelers a day, which is like three times the Azteca Stadium,” he indicated.
DFW celebrated in the country in order to thank its Mexican clients and partners. The airlines that participate in the oneworld alliance and connect with this airport were present, American Airlines , British Airways , Finnair , Iberia , Japan Airlines , Qantas and QatarAirways.
