The demands of companies that hire transport and logistics services are changing; they no longer only want their goods to be stored or moved from point “a” to point “b”. Gonzalo Fuenzalida, co-founder and Director of Operations of Tranciti , assured that today metrics of polluting emissions are required in these activities , whether the driver drove correctly, fuel consumption, permits, maintenance, among others.
Fuenzalida indicated in an interview that it is normal for them to begin looking for other service providers, however, he assures that it is important to have comprehensive solutions that allow greater control of operations.
“There are clients who have to have two or three suppliers to solve a problem, but the problem is one, it is getting from point “a” to point “b” in a timely manner. Many times control is lost,” he said.
In the specific case of Mexico, Gonzalo Fuenzalida commented that with the growth of nearshoring (relocation of production lines), which has had an impact on the industry and services, companies are requiring specific processes within their logistics .
He explained that in this sense, Latin American logistics service platforms have an important competitive advantage, since in the region there are many disruptions in the chain that allow us to have experience on problems that do not occur in many places.
Likewise, the Tranciti manager indicated that Mexico is a great springboard for other markets, with the arrival of foreign companies investing in the country.
He highlighted that Mexico is one of the most important markets for Tranciti, where they have registered a growth of 50% in the last year , so he expects it to continue in the same way in the coming years.
